Volvo Tyre Pressure

Maintaining the correct tyre pressure in your tyres helps you maximise the life of your tyres, whilst ensuring fuel consumption is kept as low as possible, the correct tyre pressures also help protect yourself and passengers from accidents in protecting the handling and braking distance of your Volvo. Volvo has worked out carefully set tyre pressures for every single vehicle and configuration they sell. So whether you drive a XC90 or a V70 – your vehicles tyre pressure will be unique.

Tyre Pressure is measured by calculating the amount of air that has been pumped into your tyre, it is measured in either pounds per square inch (PSI) or BAR pressure. It is your responsibility as a driver to ensure that your tyres are at the correct tyre pressure. The correct tyre pressure can be found in your Volvo car manual and on the inside of your driver’s door.

Maintaining the correct tyre pressures is relatively simple. Tyres lose about two PSI in pressure a month, and you should always check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold.

Volvo’s are some of the safest, high mileage and family vehicles on the roads – they have been designed specifically with your safety and security in mind, so ensure that you fulfil your duty of care to your passengers by checking and maintaining your vehicles correct tyre pressures.
